This project is the culmination of a semester of collegiate research seeking to understand the intersection between academic research and field activism. Students at Macalester College, under the direction of Professor Lisa Mueller, compiled academic research concerning strategic activist tactics for social movements. The project is intended to build bridges between social movement scholars and activists on the ground to promote scientifically-backed, effective activism.
Mission:
Our goal is to provide an accessible hub of current information on social movement scholarship and activist narratives to activists on the ground. This source will be responsive to the needs of activists, while also translating academia for the common goal of achieving effective social movements.
